At the same time that The Advent Project was getting off the ground back in 2013, the Young Oceans were launching their Advent Album, and it was incredible. Young Oceans have produced an album of pure advent, pure in the sense that there is not a Christmas tune to be found here at all. These thirteen original tracks capture all the core themes of advent: the hope, the sadness, the longing, the joy of waiting for the return of our faithful king Jesus. Each track builds carefully with reflective music and beautiful vocals to inspire worship. We love this album!
Only half the tracks have lyrics, the other half are instrumental versions of these songs. Paired together these songs and instruments create a meditative album just perfect for advent resting and waiting.
